gPanel® Platform Update: March 2025 Feature Updates & Bug Fixes

March 31, 2025, 10:00 am

Feature Updates

  • User Management > Actions
    • We've reorganized the user action menu to prioritize common tasks. This update places frequently used actions at the top of the list, improving workflow efficiency and reducing the time it takes to manage user accounts.
  • Drive > Drive Sweep
    • A new "Owned by me" filter has been added to the Drive Sweep creation process. This feature allows administrators to quickly select files and folders owned by their account, simplifying the process of managing personal data within Drive.
  • User Management
    • A new notification (snackbar) has been implemented to provide immediate feedback when a user account is deleted outside of gPanel and cannot be found if the user is selected.
  • Report Center > Reports
    • Permissions have been implemented across all reports within the Report Center. This ensures that users only have access to create and run reports that they are authorized to use, enhancing data security and control.

Bug Fixes

  • Calendars > Calendars
    • Resolved an issue where editing a calendar event triggered unnecessary email notifications to all participants. Now, modifications will only send notifications when intended, preventing unwanted inbox clutter.
  • Calendars > Calendars
• Resolved an issue where the sharing box did not accurately reflect the user's current permissions when acting as an owner. The sharing box now clearly displays the user context and disables sharing options when the user lacks the necessary permissions.
  • Bulk Operation > Group
    • Addressed and resolved an issue that was preventing bulk group updates from processing correctly.
    • Fixed a bug that caused spreadsheet IDs to be lost during bulk operations. Spreadsheets that are used for bulk operations will now have their Id's preserved.
  • New User Creation > Welcome letter template
    • Resolved an issue that prevented users from editing links within the welcome letter template creator.
  • Drive > Drive Search
    • We've reorganized the Drive Search options for improved usability. "Drive ID" is now a primary search option, and selecting it disables other search filters for precise results. Additionally, the "Trashed" and "Starred" filters have been updated to function as exclusive or inclusive options, providing greater search flexibility.
