In the continuing effort to enable transparency and automate the decommissioning process, gPanel® software now gives you the ability to set email alerts and reports for documents that have been shared externally by employees whose Google Workspace accounts are being deactivated.

Why It’s Important 

As employees exit an organization, it’s important to know what assets they’ve shared with external audiences. In some cases access to the documents needs to be revoked, or perhaps ownership needs to be reassigned to a current employee.

This highly requested feature gives gPanel Admins visibility into those shared documents, including reports as well as email alerts. Admins can select to have notifications go to the hiring manager or anyone else within their organization.

  • Deployed to gPanel Standard tier on March 20, 2023.
