Ronke Majekodunmi:

Thank you for joining us today for our introduction to gPanel Enterprise. In our DNA, we aim to make our clients' work lives better. Let's talk about gPanel, which is an exclusive Google Workspace management and reporting solution. We offer everything from automating onboarding to decommissioning and scheduling reports in real-time.

We have over seventy reports in gPanel across three tiers: Starter, Standard, and Enterprise. The benefits include administration, admin delegation, and automating workflows to drive consistency in branding. We offer over a thousand custom permissions for your employees.

David Aulick:

gPanel Enterprise offers advanced reporting and the gPanel API. The API provides access to system logs, onboarding, offboarding, decommissioning, and standard policies for integration with other applications.

The key takeaways today include learning about the API, streamlining onboarding and simplifying offboarding with the gPanel API, and introducing new reports based on customer feedback.

We've launched the enterprise-level gPanel, which includes an API to automate tasks, save time, and scale efficiently. The API allows you to automate the consumption of audit logs and integrates with HR management systems and third-party applications.

The gPanel API covers application log viewer, decommissioning policy, onboarding policy, standard policies, and user creation and editing.

Let's take a look at gPanel in action. It's a management and reporting tool that supercharges Google Workspace administration. It can handle tasks that aren't available in the regular admin console. For example, creating forwards for users, creating new user policies for onboarding, and automating actions like adding users to groups.

In the full company group, you have options like signing out users, adding to a shared drive, and creating a Gmail label. There are various standard policies available, and a new feature is the policy ID and the API endpoint listed on the sidebar. Instead of using the GUI, you can make programmatic calls to trigger these policies.

Let's take a look at the available policies. We're using Apigee, a Google-owned tool known for its capabilities and security. The features include an application log viewer, decommissioning policy, onboarding policy, standard policies, and user editor.

Let's dive into the decommissioning policy documentation. This is where you'll find the API request and the required request body. You'll need the policy ID, which you can obtain after creating a policy in gPanel. The setup involves creating an API key and enabling the decommissioning policy.

Once set up, you'll add the API key to the gPanel API section. Calling the endpoint can be done through various methods, such as PowerShell, command line, or tools like Postman. This allows you to automate the decommissioning process, which is a common need for offboarding users.

Now, let's discuss advanced reporting. In the Google ecosystem, you typically have access to admin logs for only six months. Our advanced reporting feature helps address this limitation. With the enterprise tier, you can generate activity reports for externally shared docs that are more than six months old. We retain logs beyond the six-month limit, so you can access historical data.

For example, if you need to track externally shared documents from a year or more ago, our retention will keep those logs available. When you upgrade to the enterprise tier, your log retention starts from that day, in addition to Google's 180-day logs. This ensures you have a complete record of activities.

Ronke Majekodunmi:

Alright, please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you, David, that was awesome.

As I mentioned, we're proud to be here, listening to our clients, understanding their needs, and helping them manage and grow their businesses. These updates are part of our commitment to making work life better.

Please feel free to ask any questions in the chat.

I see one already. By the way, David, some attendees mentioned using Paylocity and ADP in our discussions.

David Aulick:

Yes, we've noticed that some attendees use Paylocity and ADP, which were also part of our discussions. We are aware of various integrations and can discuss further custom integrations to fit your workflow.

Ronke Majekodunmi:

Thank you. David, there's a question about where to find API documentation.

David Aulick:

You can find the API documentation in two places. First, visit our Knowledge Base and look for the gPanel API section. Alternatively, you can go directly to developer.promevo.com, which provides comprehensive documentation to help you get started with the API.

Ronke Majekodunmi:

There's also a question about the cost of the API.

David Aulick:

If you're an existing gPanel client, please contact your client success manager to discuss pricing and additional features. If you're new to Promevo, visit promevo.com and go to the gPanel page. There, you can fill out the Contact Us form, and our sales team will get in touch to discuss pricing.

Ronke Majekodunmi:

Thank you. Another question is about the plans for the enterprise tier.

David Aulick:

We have exciting plans for the enterprise tier. We're currently doing research and discovery for additional features based on client feedback. These features will focus on more automation and advanced reporting, and we aim to roll them out by the end of Q4.

Ronke Majekodunmi:

David, we have a question about pre-built integrations.

David Aulick:

Currently, there aren't any pre-built integrations, but our development team can discuss the possibility of custom integrations to align with your workflow.

Ronke Majekodunmi:

There's also a question about the type of API we use.

David Aulick:

It's a REST API.

Ronke Majekodunmi:

I see a question about Python scripts for onboarding and creating Google Workspace accounts.

David Aulick:

Yes, you can leverage gPanel for creating onboarding policies that add users to specific groups and Google Team Drives within Google Workspace. Our APIs can help streamline these processes.

Ronke Majekodunmi:

Thank you. Some attendees are inquiring about the recording of this session.

David Aulick:

Yes, we will provide a recording for you to review. We'll send it to you later.

Ronke Majekodunmi:

If there are no more questions, we'd like to thank you for joining us today. We appreciate your time and participation. If you're new to Promevo and interested in gPanel, visit promevo.com and explore the gPanel page to start your 14-day trial.
