Newer generations are digital natives, so it’s no surprise that incorporating educational technology into their lesson plans, homework, and extracurricular activities can have a positive effect on student engagement and learning outcomes.
Just ask Green Park Lutheran School, a junior kindergarten through 8th grade school in south St. Louis county. For the past six years, this organization has been on a mission to upgrade its technology by implementing a 1:1 computing model and enhancing the learning experience of their nearly 300 students.
When Rodger Robbins, Educational Technology Coordinator, first joined Green Park Lutheran School in 2018, the technology landscape was far from ideal. The school had two outdated computer labs, where CPUs were partitioned and shared among three users.
Rodger's primary goal was to transition the 3rd to 8th grade classrooms to a 1:1 device ratio as cost-effectively as possible. As a private school, Green Park had to be particularly cautious about its technology budget, ensuring every dollar was well spent.
Rodger embarked on an extensive research journey to find the best solutions for Green Park’s needs. After evaluating several companies, he found Promevo to be the most knowledgeable and helpful.
Promevo's expertise in Chromebooks and the Google Admin suite stood out, and our competitive pricing aligned perfectly with Green Park’s budget constraints.
With Promevo's support, Rodger initiated the 1:1 Chromebook implementation. This partnership has now reached its third cycle of Chromebooks, each time further solidifying the relationship between Green Park and Promevo.
The collaboration between Green Park and Promevo has been a resounding success.
Our ChromeOS team worked closely with Rodger to identify, procure, and deploy the best devices for his organization as well as integrate with Google Workspace. Because Rodger is a team of one, we also made sure these devices had zero-touch enrollment to simplify the set-up process.
Now, Rodger manages 155 Chromebooks and 125 iPads, all integrated seamlessly with their Google Workspace platform. He also teaches six classes a week on Chromebook usage to 3rd and 4th grade students, ensuring they’re well-versed in utilizing these technologies.
The transition to a 1:1 device ratio has revolutionized Green Park Lutheran School’s learning environment, making it more engaging and interactive.
Green Park’s journey underscores the value of having a knowledgeable and supportive partner in achieving educational technology goals. As Green Park continues to innovate and grow, the partnership with Promevo remains a cornerstone of their success.
Schools looking to make a similar impact should consider following Green Park’s footsteps and explore how Promevo can help them achieve their technological aspirations.
