Gold Bond Inc. Increases Gen AI Adoption With Promevo’s Gemini Workshop

The Challenge

Gold Bond's CIO, Matt Price, and some of his colleagues had started experimenting with AI tools like ChatGPT and Google's Bard. However, they needed to understand how to harness these technologies effectively within their organization. 

Additionally, there was apprehension among some employees about AI replacing their roles, creating resistance to adoption.

The Solution

Recognizing the potential of AI for Gold Bond, Promevo Senior Client Success Manager, Jeremy Brooks, and Change Management Leader, Colin McCarthy, proposed setting up a Gemini Pilot Workshop.

This workshop aimed to demonstrate practical AI applications within Gold Bond’s operations.   Matt Price circulated a signup form, attracting around 20 enthusiastic participants.

The workshop provided hands-on experience, showing employees how AI could streamline their workflows rather than replace them. Gemini’s capabilities were showcased in areas like aiding in blog content and product descriptions, improving document management through the Google Drive side panel, and even generating scripts in Oracle NetSuite for ERP management. 

The Outcome

The immediate feedback from the Gemini Pilot Workshop was positive. Attendees appreciated how AI could seamlessly integrate into their daily tasks, enhancing productivity without threatening job security.

Our feedback surveys also offered the following insights: 

• Daily Gemini usage rose from 20% to 71.4% by the end of the workshop experience 
• 73.5% of users agree or strongly agree that Gemini saves them time
• 60% of participants said they “Agree” that Gemini for Google Workspace has improved the quality of their work.
• 43% said that Gemini saved them 60-120 minutes per day on average, 71.5% said it saved them 1 to 60 minutes 

Matt Price summed up their workshop experience perfectly, stating, "Precise, professional, and prompt. Our engagement with Promevo has been spot on." 

Moving forward, Gold Bond plans to continue monitoring and optimizing their use of Gemini, collecting feedback to ensure constant improvement.

Promevo is currently helping Gold Bond migrate their Windows workstations to ChromeOS devices, significantly cutting down their total cost of ownership (TCO).
