About Jeremiah's Italian Ice
Since 1996, Jeremiah’s Italian Ice has been delighting customers with their decadent and refreshing frozen treats.
From their first location in Winter Park, Florida, Jeremiah’s Italian Ice has expanded operations throughout The Sunshine State and is poised to become the coolest frozen dessert brand in the nation.
The Challenge
Quality signage is crucial for any brick-and-mortar business, especially a frozen dessert franchise with multiple locations.
Jeremiah’s was relying on stick PC-powered digital signage to display their menu of flavors and in-store graphics. While the signage was attractive and modern, it was subject to frequent problems.
Oftentimes, signage at Jeremiah’s Italian Ice locations displayed disruptive pop-ups and update prompts.
Not only would these interruptions make it difficult for customers to view the menu and place their order, software updates, and pop-ups disrupted the professional business environment Jeremiah’s had worked so hard to create and distracted from the quality product being served. The team at Jeremiah’s tried to troubleshoot the problem by using another software solution, but the results still weren’t satisfactory.
Jeremiah’s Italian Ice needed a reliable technology solution for their digital signs. That’s where Promevo comes in.
Our Solution
After thoroughly researching the best options to solve Jeremiah’s digital signage dilemma, the Promevo team settled on the Asus Chromebit device. This candy bar-sized stick computer provides all of the power of ChromeOS in a low-profile package, giving users a secure, easy-to-use, and energy-efficient operating system that doesn’t take up too much space.
With ChromeOS as a new solution, Jeremiah’s Italian Ice could voluntarily update their Chromebit devices as needed rather than being constantly interrupted by mandatory updates.
Of course, Promevo took care of all necessary licenses and hardware. Using the dynamic capabilities of Chrome Sign Builder, Jeremiah’s Italian Ice has the freedom to design and manage their branded graphics and promotional displays throughout their suite of digital signs.
But Promevo didn’t just stop with digital signage. Since 2018, we’ve been supporting our partners at Jeremiah’s Italian Ice with a comprehensive range of solutions to accelerate their business growth.
We’ve proudly guided Jeremiah’s Italian Ice through their Google Workspace transformation, supercharging collaboration and communication with gPanel® user management and security interface and successfully migrating their existing email to Gmail.
Our digital signage solutions are still being used at Jeremiah’s locations more than five years later. Chromebit devices have been swapped for powerful Chromeboxes that display flavors and in-store graphics using a dedicated URL or a slideshow developed in Google Slides.
In total, Promevo has deployed 260 units to Jeremiah’s Italian Ice locations.
