Our name, Promevo, is derived from the latin words ‘promoveo’ (to move ahead) and ‘promereo’ (to earn).

History

Promevo was founded in 2001 in Cincinnati, Ohio, as a consulting firm focused on collaboration and messaging, by Tom Mason and Aaron Gumz. In the following 8 years, Promevo evolved to serve well-known businesses such as Toyota, Kroger, and Xpedx by implementing, migrating, and managing their systems.
In 2009, Promevo began its collaborative partnership with Google. Our first project involved working with MeadWestvaco using both IBM and Microsoft systems. This large-scale effort involved 12,000 users across seven email systems. When the project was complete, Promevo merged MeadWestvaco’s emails and systems into one Google-based system. Once this project was completed successfully, Promevo officially began offering Google migrations as a service, and since then, have taken part in thousands of them.
In 2010, Promevo was proud to introduce gPanel® software as one of the first Google Marketplace offerings. This software became one of the first management and security platforms that integrated with Google Apps.
Today, we take pride in our end-to-end services for our clients’ Google journey. We provide and manage software licenses, hardware, and professional services to develop innovative solutions on the Google Cloud Platform.
Our founders, Tom Mason and Aaron Gumz, remain a part of our Board.

We are involved in many charity events throughout the year that focus on food insecurity and care for our youth. Our team has participated in GO Pantry food drives, American Cancer Society races, and more. Our team takes time to work together to support many causes throughout the year that directly impact those in our local communities and make a difference in people's lives. We see it as part of our duty to reinvest in the community around us by uplifting causes that support those in need and seeking to build a better world.
