Starting December 30, 2025, we're moving away from a traditional "add to cart and checkout" online store and introducing a new, streamlined ChromeOS Device and License Catalog that enables you to request quotes from our team.

Here is why we are making this switch, how it works, and how it helps our clients get the best value.

Why We Are Switching to Quotes

The reality is that the hardware and software market moves fast. Prices for Chromebooks, tablets, and software licenses fluctuate frequently. Availability varies across different distributors, and costs can change overnight based on supply and demand (not to mention governmental tariff policies).

In a standard online store with fixed prices, it is difficult to keep up with these rapid changes. We found that a static price tag often didn’t reflect the best possible deal available at that moment. Plus, there are usually different pricing tiers for different types of organizations, such as non-profits, schools, government entities, and more. Shipping adds another layer of complexity that requires a human touch.

By switching to a quote-based system, we remove those limitations. When you submit a quote request, it allows our team to look at the real-time market. We can check inventory across multiple sources and apply volume discounts that an automated system might miss. This ensures that every time you order, you are getting the most up-to-date pricing and the best possible value for your budget.

How the New Process Works

Using the new catalog is designed to be intuitive and fast. Here is what the process looks like from your perspective:

1. Browse and Filter: Navigate to our new Catalog page. You will see new tools to help you find exactly what you need. You can filter products by Category (like "Hardware" or "Software") and by Manufacturer (like "Google," "Acer," or "Lenovo") to narrow down your options quickly.

2. Add to Quote: When you see a product you need, simply click the "Add to Quote" button. A window will pop up asking for your needed quantity.

3. Review Your List: Once you have selected your items, click the "View Quote" button in the top right corner. This takes you to a summary page where you can review your list.

4. Submit: Fill out a short form and hit submit. That’s it.

Once you submit your request, our sales team gets to work. We will review your list, verify inventory, finalize the pricing, and email you back with a formal quote within 24 hours.

What is Different?

If you have shopped with us before, you will notice a few key differences in this new experience.

• No Direct Checkout: You will not be asked for a credit card or payment information on the website. The site is now strictly for building your request. The actual transaction happens after our team sends you the finalized quote.

• Order History: In this new system, you won’t be able to log in to view your past online order history directly on the website. However, that information isn’t lost. Your dedicated Promevo representative has a complete record of every purchase your organization has made. If you need to check on a past order or re-order a specific item, just reach out to your rep, and they will have that information ready for you.
